The 'Shadow Lady' pieces are created whilst looking for shadows in the human face and mind. The first 'Shadow Lady' became part of a series. The eyes go where their mind goes. The ladies are dressed full in color and details, yet their body's are hollow.

This illustration from 2012 is made with ink, marker, graphite and color pencils. Print is without 'X.Koning' signature for a cleaner design.
